libgetdata5 software package provides library to read/write dirfile data, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgetdata5
libgetdata5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgetdata5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgetdata5 *
You will get with libgetdata5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
